Adsorption of Dyes Using Graphene Oxide-Based Nano-Adsorbent: A Review

Graphene Oxide (GO) based adsorbents have attracted much attention from researchers because there been many reports that they are effective for removing dyes aqueous environments. That is GO has good mechanical, electrical, optical and chemical properties, so graphene its derivatives, such as oxide, used in various applications the field of environmental management. Modifying into nano size an effort to improve performance dyes. This review uses a database Science Direct, Google Scholar Springer, which was screened using pigments, adsorption adsorbent. The adsorbent showed quite results removal isotherm model suitable varies between Langmuir, Freundlich Redlich-Peterson isotherms. Pseudo-second-order (PSO) best explain process kinetics. Nano-adsorbent modification can be reused at least five times with reduced capacity 4-8%. Studies related GO-based show promising pollutant removal. Still, aspects synthesis method, surface functional groups interaction dye ions stability products need investigated further.
